Fix the Glitch

The system has five language glitches. Decide what is correct, repair what is wrong, and keep your streak alive.

Use does + base verb.

Correct. Question word + does + subject + base verb.

4. Is there a direct train?
Correct. With be, no do/does is needed.

One-sentence rule: If the main verb is not be, use do/does + base verb in the question.

Riddle 1 · Will you make it?

Your train leaves at 4:30. The journey takes 45 minutes. Then you walk for 10 minutes. Your appointment is at 5:30.

4:30 + 45 min = 5:15. + 10 min walk = 5:25. You make it by 5 minutes.

Riddle 2 · Best value

Ticket A costs $24. Ticket B costs $18. Both arrive at the same time.

Say: “Ticket B is $6 cheaper than Ticket A.”

Riddle 3 · Platform switch

Your train was on Platform 3. The screen says: “New platform: 7.” You have 6 minutes. It takes 4 minutes to walk there.
